CHReaD advocates for increased domestic investment in Health Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I), including the realization of Kenya's commitment to allocate 2% of GDP to R&D under the STI Act 2013. We champion increased Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM), sustainable and innovative financing mechanisms, and enhanced Official Development Assistance (ODA) to strengthen locally driven innovation ecosystems. Our work aligns with the African Union's STISA-2034 and Agenda 2063 frameworks to advance Africa's scientific sovereignty, health security, and sustainable development.

We support regional regulatory harmonization and advocate for accountable, streamlined processes that remove bottlenecks in research, innovation, and technology approval pathways.
