Mental wellness by design

Mental health is one of Kenya’s most pressing but under-addressed health challenges. With rising cases of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other conditions, communities are struggling — yet mental health remains severely underfunded, stigmatized, and under researched.

This one-hour webinar, hosted by the Coalition for Health Research and Development (CHReaD), explores the critical intersection of mental wellness, innovation, and locally grounded research. Experts, advocates, and innovators will share ideas for reshaping mental health care using culturally relevant approaches, AI-powered tools, and community-based models.

The session is moderated by the Ambassador for Youth and Adolescent Reproductive Health Programme (AYARHEP), Life Impact Health Africa, and the Kenya Progressive Nurses Association (KPNA).

Join us to unpack how we can place mental health at the center of Kenya’s national R&D priorities and design systems that are inclusive, data-driven, and responsive to the real needs of our people.
